Forget all those stories about "working with a contractor"! From start to finish, communication was perfect - from detailed explanation to setting expectations - Mike Harr took care of me! Now let's talk about the crew - these were guys I wanted to work for! The teamwork, the energy, the attention to every detail - far exceeded expectations to the point of being inspirational! Could not have hoped for better! My posted photos are a transition from a light slate gray vinyl siding to the new iron gray Hardie board for a bold update. This house is bulletproof now as the intention was to correct wind issues on one side, and melting siding on the other! Such a relief to have finally pulled the trigger and seeing it complete! Good job, but watch for extra charges
The four-star rating is for Exteriors Plus as a whole for everyone who was involved from front office to quoting to ordering to installing. The finished product looks good, moved along as expected for this type of project, and it was completed within two days. William Dye initially came out to quote and spent sufficient time to talk, measure, and take photos. There were a few bumps along the way prior to and during installation, but got worked out with William, who was always available by phone or text. It was good that William acknowledged the issues and took any steps necessary to remedy the situation at hand. It is largely due to William's commitment to (my) satisfaction that the rating is up to 4 on this review; he made sure all concerns were addressed. The most unpleasant of this experience was that after installation, Exteriors Plus added extra charges at final billing after we agreed on a contracted price. These extra charges were for (i) things I know were not used because I was home and outside during installation and (ii) additional siding needed due to either incorrect measuring or inefficient installation. We came to an agreement for payment, but I still ended up paying more than the contract I signed, and it did not leave me feeling warm and fuzzy. Exteriors Plus has a satisfactory system in place for product delivery and installation, and does nice work. For those shopping around (for all companies you are having bid for the job), be sure to ask a lot of questions (about landscaping, trash, extra materials, etc.) and read all the fine print. I've posted a before/after pic so you can see the work. Like I said, nice job; just make sure your inquiries are answered prior to signing. A special shout-out to Johnny, who has a great, positive attitude, kept the crew supplied with things they needed during installation, and for going the extra mile for me.
